Bedtime

We have started Lincoln and Mac on a bed time routine each night which begins around 6pm when they wake up from their afternoon nap. We play with rattles, sing, dance, and watch Baby Einstein (they love it, Ryan and I tolerate it!) until 7:45ish. We then prepare for baths, which the boys take with Ryan or I. This seems to be the best part of the night for Lincoln who loves kicking and splashing.

Although Mac doesnt seem to enjoy the bath as much as Lincoln, he will relax in the water and let his body float while we hold his head.

After baths read books while the boys drink their final bottle. Then we snuggle until the Sand Man comes to visit

We say our prayers:

Lord in Heaven hear our prayer
Keep Linc and Mac in your love and care
Be their guide in all they do
And bless all those who love them too

Lord let them be at rest in you
And sweetly sleep the whole night through
Restore their strength for your own sake
So they can serve you when they wake

And let them wake up happy and healthy and excited to see Mommy and Daddy
