Action Items

In June 2008 Ryan was laid off, from his position at John Wieland Homes in Atlanta. Due to the poor economy the company was forced to let go hundreds of employees and Ryan position as a contract architect was not renewed. At this time, 9 months into our marriage and 11 months after buying our home, we were decided to make a list of items we wanted to accomplish to assist us in getting where we wanted to go in life. The list included:

1. Get pregnant
2. Ryan find a job
3. Finish rehabing our home
4. Meg finish graduate project and graduate
5. Sell home in the event that Ryan was unable to find a new job.

After countless hours of research, applications, writing, painting, studying, doctor appointments and prenatal vitamins our luck began to change when we found out that we were expecting twins. Ryan was then offered a job in Cleveland, OH - a huge opportunity for me to stay home with the babies but also officially added #6 to the list and increased the urgency of completing the rehab of our home which was finalized in December and I finally, FINALLY, finished my graduate project and graduated - Goodbye #3 and #4!

Its crazy how all our dedication, hard work, support from family and friends and prayers have paid off. At this time, we are down to #5 - Sell 958 East Confederate Ave. Although I dread selling our beautiful home I am really looking forward to moving on and getting rid of the mortgage. It seems as though we are on a roll, things are changing and I am really proud of us!
